Dr. Thomas Raueiser is the Head of the Life Science Team at NRW.BANK and Investment Director of Gründerfonds Ruhr. He has established the venture capital business within the NRW.BANK and is managing the current Life Science portfolio. He is a highly experienced venture capitalist working more than 20 years in the field. He holds numerous advisory boards within the biotech and medtech industry and has managed several successful M&A-transactions such as phenox and Hemovent.

Before joining the NRW.BANK, he held various positions in Corporate and Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse First Boston. He holds a master degree and a Ph.D. in Business Administration at University of Cologne and a Master of International Management (CEMS-MIM) at Copenhagen Business School and Université de Louvain.
